Due to a planned retirement, Clinical Laboratory of the Black Hills is seeking a full-time, FP Board certified (or eligible) pathologist to join our practice. Fellows are encouraged to apply!
CLBH uses a coroner system for death investigation and FP would function as independent contractor in this situation. No Scene investigations. Tremendous case variety, with 190-220 complete autopsy examinations per year. Imaging system on site.

Manage a dynamic and diverse caseload, including approximately 30,000 surgical cases annually, 8,200 dermatopathology cases, 1,600 non-GYN cytology cases, and 4,000 Pap smears.

Business Office Assistant
Clinical Laboratory of the Black Hills is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Business Office Assistant to join our team. This position plays a critical role in supporting the Business Office and Practice Manager by handling a variety of administrative, clerical, and financial duties. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and possess a strong understanding of office operations in a medical setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports as assigned. Assist with account analysis and reconciliation to support month-end closing processes.

Meeting Coordination: Schedule meetings, prepare necessary documentation, and develop action lists for follow-up.
-
Contract Management: Maintain an organized system for insurance and vendor contracts, track key terms and renewal/termination dates, and ensure compliance with contract terms.

Accounting & Financial Support: Maintain accurate general ledger entries, process accounts payable and receivable, and document all purchase order vouchers and receipts. Use accounting software for payroll and financial reporting tasks.

Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance to the leadership team and perform clerical duties as needed.

Confidentiality: Ensure patient, staff, physician, and management confidentiality at all times.
Education and Experience:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. An accounting or bookkeeping degree is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a medical clinic or healthcare environment preferred.

Prior administrative business office experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Multitasking & Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize responsibilities in a deadline-driven environment.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar). Experience with payroll and financial reporting systems is a plus.
